The Pickerington Public Library is planning many activities to celebrate their 100th birthday next year. To help fund these activities, the library is collecting aluminum cans (soda or beer). There will be a collection site in the library. Not only do you help the environment, but you also help the library by doing your can recycling there!
The Friends of the Pickerington Public Library is holding their semi-annual book sale this month. Presale date for Friends members (you can join at the door for as little as $10!) is Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The sale is open to the public Thursday, Oct. 30 to Sunday, Nov. 2, during library hours. This is a great place to find books, movies, and music, at great prices! Paperbacks are 50 cents and hardcover books are $1.00. There are bookmarks, with an attached coupon for a free paperback book, available at the library and local businesses. And, if you're cleaning house and have unwanted books, movies or music, donate them to the library! Bring them to the circulation desk in exchange for a receipt for your taxes. Whatever the library doesn't put into circulation will be donated to the Friends for their booksales. Any questions, contact Amy Stang.
What is your plan to maintain your pear trees? Resources are available. If you have other fruit trees you might want to look here.
There is paint and stain for JF mailboxes and posts. Contact a JFHA Trustee.
